Arlington / Sandgate

Tucked away in the beautiful Battenkill Valley and affectionately referred to as The Shires of Vermont, are the towns of Arlington and Sunderland. Home to the famous Norman Rockwell Museum, it’s easy to see why Rockwell painted some of his most notable works in Arlington, including The Four Freedoms. Sporting one of Vermont’s oldest surviving covered bridges, the Arlington Covered Bridge was built in 1852.
