Between Memorial Day and foliage, the same base area that funnels skiers in December becomes an outdoor concert venue, a lift-served downhill bike park, and a walkable dining district. The Walk Everyone Takes in Winter, Reconsidered in July
From a Mountain Reach front door, the same path that ends at the lifts in ski season ends at three different things in summer: a bike park corral, an outdoor stage, and a cluster of restaurants that stay open on Village hours rather than resort-ski hours. The property was described from day one as steps to the Village shops and restaurants, and that walk shortens the more of the summer calendar you actually use.
The other quiet feature: guests who have purchased a 26/27 season pass, including Ikon, Ikon Base, Stratton Summit, Select, or Strattitude, are eligible for complimentary Summer 2026 scenic lift rides on the Gondola or American Express Lift, and non-passholder family and friends may purchase tickets online. If you kept your winter pass current, the summit ride is already paid for. That's a detail worth knowing before house guests arrive.
What's Actually on the Outdoor Stage This Summer
The Village's summer soundtrack runs on two tracks: free Saturday sets in the main base area and a shorter ticketed lineup for the bigger names. Both stages sit within earshot of Mountain Reach's decks.
The free program is the one to plan around if you're a regular. Free Summer Jams take place in the main base area on select Saturdays, with local artists, and the concerts are held rain or shine. Additional 2026 dates include Saturday, August 1 (3–5 pm), Saturday, August 29 (3–5 pm), Saturday, September 12 (3–5 pm), Saturday, September 26 (3–5 pm), and Sunday, October 11 (3–5 pm). Bring a chair. If the sky turns, the band may be moved into Grizzly's, so plan on coming up regardless of the forecast.
The ticketed lineup this summer is anchored by two shows worth walking down for:
- August 8, 2026 brings Harvest and Rust, a Neil Young tribute band known for stirring, authentic performances, with doors at 5:30 PM.
- The Wailers return on their 50 Years of Positive Vibrations tour, with doors at 5:30 pm and music 6–9 pm.
The point of a Mountain Reach summer isn't that there's music at Stratton. It's that the walk home from music at Stratton is the same walk home you already take in February.
The Bike Park at the End of Your Driveway
This is the summer amenity most winter-first owners underuse. Stratton Bike Park's projected 2026 opening day was Thursday, May 21, as part of Memorial Day Weekend, and it runs through the fall. Transcend Fest Vermont 2026 debuts July 10–12 at Stratton Mountain, with curated yoga, movement, wellness, and spiritual workshops, a Mindful Market and Wellness Village of artisans and healers, and Transcend After Dark with live music, DJs, ecstatic dance, and starlit celebration. The festival takes place on the same mountain Wanderlust once called home, and Mountain Reach's walking radius covers most of the programming footprint.
The next Saturday, July 18, is VMBA Day at the Bike Park. That's back-to-back weekends where the parking lot is not your problem and your front door is the shortest commute in the resort.

Because the density of options is the actual amenity, here's what a single August Saturday can look like without moving your car:
- 8:30 am. Walk to Stratton Mountain Market and Deli for coffee and something to take back to the deck.
